  • no heat at reg vents?

lil chilli the other morning so I switched on the heat In my festiva, I noticed that Heat only blows from defrost and floor board not the plain vents.
just reg tempeture air from the vents but you can select defrost or floor and BaM Hot air.
Is this normal festiva air system or what?
Id like it to blow hot at body level, you know

What Ralph said. All Festivas came with floor and windshield heat only, no face heat.
If you upgraded (or downgraded, depending on the person) to an Aspire, you'd have heat from all three areas.

I have both Festiva and Aspire-

what bugs me about the Aspire is that Ford takes a very marginal defroster vent on the drivers side-
and then puts the VIN strip down INSIDE that, blocking most of the warm air from coming out-

                    at least on my '96
when I lived in Indiana- it was a perpetual pain and HAZARD in the winter. The passenger side of the window was always the more clear in extreme weather
I'll bet they don't do that in other places

In other places, like locations on the cars. Or places like Kansas, or India

There is a single vent, and spaced farther from the sides of the windshield than any others spaced apart across and under the windshield- the VIN strip on my 96 aspire literally blocks almost all of the air from that defroster vent- so the first vent giving out hot air on the drivers side is about a foot from the left side of the window- never a problem on the Festiva-

How did they expect to sell our favorite little cars this way?

So in fact they didn't sell many Aspires, and replaced it with the larger Focus at the turn of the century, and we've been at war in the middle east since.

Wait....we have been at war in the Middle East because we dumped the Aspire for the Focus? :-0

Because a policy of consumption rather than conservation of oil allows those who want to rule the world,
power over it, here and abroad
                            so, yes- MO-
now someone tell me this is innappropriate and forever the wrong place to say that.
and "we dumped" doesn't appply to this forum
or we'd be discussing the Escort, wouldn't we?

"with increasing coolness near more consumption..."
