    A friend in Maryland said "if you can get it, you can have it" so I built a hitch (with his help) and towed it approx. 1000 miles back to Minnesota...



    Almost home (Da. U.P. eh.)



    The hitch (made to tie into the hooks)



    Best advice I can give for doing it this way: Stay 55 MPH or under. Take all corners SLOW (the towed festy will want to push the rear end out from under the towing festy) and when people gawk at you on the freeway, smile

    I still got high 30's MPG's towing. Love me the festys.

          Awesome. I think the beginning of next year, I will have someone fab up a hitch on my Festy.
          1991 Ford Festiva BP (Full Aspire/Rio Swap) (337k Miles) (Around 95k Engine)
          2002 Chevy Cavalier LS Sport 2.2L DOHC Ecotec (Threw a Rod)
          1998 Chevy Monte Carlo LS 3.1 V6 (225k miles) Best MPG = 28

                Well done sir! Too an outsider this looks to be a new twist on always keeping a spare close at hand while travelling. Most folks drag around a tire and a few extra belts but you're dragging around an entire car!. Only thing I can see beat that is a Festy towing what looks like a Motorhome.
