    Free Festivas!..... for me :)

    About 4 years ago I bought a 1979 Fiesta. I had title issues with it and when I went back to the house I bought it from they said, "our son doesn't live here anymore and we do not talk to him anymore". Needless to say I was out of luck. I was able to get the name and old address of the original owner, which happened to be 20 minutes from where I bought it. I drove to the guys house and he had 3 Festivas in his driveway... At that point I knew I was in good shape, arriving in my 92 festiva. He was a great guy, he helped me get a new title, I brought him several parts for his cars to help get them going/lookin' pretty. I gave him my number and said call anytime.

    Well he decided to call this AM 4 years later and asked if I could come take 2 Festivas off his hands. The city is bugging him about them not being plated and he wanted to know if I'd take them. For FREE! One runs (92) the other won't stay running (89). I'm going to go pick them up on Saturday.

    Good thing I just bought a house

      well the carb on the 89 (if 5 speed) needs to be cleaned or adjusted... I think

      SOLD! '90 Ford Festiva L Manual look for Narion (or click the username) it's new owner on the forum! - got with 193,xxx miles... now has 193,xxx miles give or take SOLD!

      R.I.P '91 Ford Escort GT w/ bad engine..... stripping for parts then off to the scrapper!

      R.I.P '91 Ford Festiva Manual "Lil Red Rocket" bought brand new in 1991 with ~120 mi... ended with 227,xxx mi.

      R.I.P '97 Ford Aspire 4 Door Automatic "Ford Metro" parts car - got with about 144,xxx mi.... ended with 144,xxx mi

      R.I.P '95 Ford Aspire Manual Silver (one owner and one family car) got with about 50,000 miles ended with about 90,000 miles

                        Well here they are!

                        When I went to pick them up they were sitting right where they were at 4 years ago. One had all new tires on it... except prior to me getting there he realized one wheel was locked up, so he had a friend pull him around the block, well the wheel didn't free up, so the tire has a nice flat spot all the way to the belt. Unfortunately it was a rear wheel, so I pulled the brakes out and pulled it home. The second car had 4 flat tires, so I had to bring the green one home and pull the wheels off to put on the silver car to tow it home. Again, one wheel was frozen, pulled the brakes out and towed it home.

                        LONG day, but it was worth it! Got them home on Saturday, worked on the green one a bit on Monday and got it running, seems to run pretty good with just over 100,000 miles on it.

                        1988, house across the street burned down and melted the amber corner, front bumper and drivers mirror.


                        The pics do them too much justice. But they will clean up ok.

                          That green one looks pretty nice, at least in the picture. Is the '88 a 4-spd?
