Hi folks! I am excited to join this long-lasting and friendly community. I do have some connections here. My brother is Axlander9289 who posted here back when he owned "Dudley", a mint '89 that met an untimely demise. I also took the photo that became the cover of the 2008 Festiva Calendar:
I've been a long time Festiva admirer, but recently gained the opportunity to purchase one from a friend. It's a '93 Festiva L sitting on 13" Metro rims. It has been worked on quite a lot in the last year benefiting from a donor car. It runs like a top with only 157k on the clock and just needs a brake bleed (or WCS a master cylinder) and some exhaust work. Here's some photos:
PO did some interesting and fortunately reversible exterior mods including the roof rack and tacking black plastic garden trim to the bottom of the bumper cover to look a little sportier.
Really clean rockers, my ten years newer daily is more rusty underneath!
The rear. It's going to need a new emblem sticker eventually.
I'm planning an Escort seat swap to get rid of those decaying seats. And yes that is a Bell's Oberon tap handle as the shift knob.
It's going to need a good clay/detail/wash/wax for sure. The paint is several different shades of oxidized red.
Stock B3 bay that needs some tidying.
With the daily, my '02 Focus Wagon Zetec 5spd
I've been lurking for about a month in anticipation for this purchase and this forum has already been more than helpful. Cheers mates!
