    GL MPG run

    I did a very unscientific MPG run with the new to me GL today, just to see what it was.

    General driving, with some city driving and country roads, but mostly highway. Did a couple "spirited" highway entrances too. Used the same pump to fill both times.
    I drove 155 miles and used 3.57 gallons of gas for a total of 43.3 MPG. Not too shabby!

    I still have a few issues to work out, heck, I haven't even put a timing light on it and set timing yet! LOL
    Just put the disty about where the disty usually sits it the adjustment slots. It starts right away and doesn't detonate, so its close! I think it may be a little on the retard side, and I still need to do an alignment ....


    .... so I figure 43 isn't bad right now!

    our L gets about 45 mpg on the highway
    Doug's Daily Driver (Dad): '91 Ford Festiva L Manual "Old Yellow" got with 40,xxx mi... about 52,xxx mi. give or take now

      Yeah just my 13" wheels and tires hurts my city mpgs, but I got 41MPG with the a/c on during a trip to Chicago, driving through the city, then out of the city later that night, and filled up where I clocked 41.5MPG.

      B6 and 175-70-13 tires.

      City I get around 34 average. (I don't update my fuelly)
      1991 Ford Festiva BP (Full Aspire/Rio Swap) (337k Miles) (Around 95k Engine)
      2002 Chevy Cavalier LS Sport 2.2L DOHC Ecotec (Threw a Rod)
      1998 Chevy Monte Carlo LS 3.1 V6 (225k miles) Best MPG = 28
