  • My Festiva's 1st road trip

Last weekend I drove my little red Festy over near Hershey, Pa. from Dayton, Ohio. That's the first long drive I've taken it on. It did real good but I was expecting the gas mileage to go up and it averaged what it usually gets around town, about 42 mph. I suppose the hills play a factor though. I only saw one other Festiva on the whole trip.

That's about right. It takes ideal conditions to get in the upper 40's. I've gotten around 50 a few times, but it's pretty rare. You have to be going 55-60 mph with a nice tail wind. Minimal hills doesn't hurt either.
