Going to the Pull-A-Part This Week

I thought it was time I visit my semi-local (1.5 hrs away) pull-a-part to do some upgrades to my Festiva. They have a Mazda 626, a MX-3, and an RX-7. From those I hope to get an intermittent wiper switch, seats, and a steering wheel respectively. If the seats in the MX-3 are gone/baD they have many Escorts and Tracers as well as one aspire to choose from. They have several Geo's as well from which I hope to get some center caps/dust covers because I think my wheels are from a Geo.

Any suggestion for cool little part swaps I should be aware of for my Festiva? Any requests for shippable parts that you guys might need?

You may want to grab the interior light from the escort if it is the type with the map lights. Nice upgrade. It is plug and play.

True. I would consider that if hadn't just spent $20 for a OEM Dome light from a Mazda B2200. With the LED's I put in it it's more than bright enough for me. Thanks for the suggestion.

My horn doesn't seem to work. I clicks when I press the button. I checked all my fuses and cleaned the contacts and still nothing. Would an Escort/Mazda horn be a plug-n-play replacement?

any horn should work. just cut the connector when you pull it and splice the plug if it is different.

I'm still looking for a gray '91-'93 Festiva glove box latch. Not the whole glovebox, just the latch. Let me know if you find one, thanks.

Good pickins! Got some nearly mint '93 Escort GT seats, a cargo light from a Tracer, a Mazda steering wheel logo from an '89 626, gas hood strut bolts from two different Expeditions, a dust cap from an Aspire, and a Ford logo for the 88-90 grill I'm going to but in. I saw a Escort GT....WAGON. Somebody installed a BP, manual trans, GT interior and GT grill in a wagon and junked it! It was florescent pink/purple though and smelled like an ashtray. A cool car for sure though.
