  • Aspire #4

Picked up aspire #4 this morning. I have a wanted ad on craigslist and got a txt from a guy yesterday afternoon. Car quit running on him on his drive to work. Cranks but wouldn't start back up. He just wanted to get rid of it. Loaded the car up from the side of the road at sunrise and started to head to work. Took the picture at the rest stop on the way. Truck ran good for the first 170 miles. Then started acting up. To make a long story short, truck and car are sitting in a parking lot. Fuel leak on the truck caused the computer to shut the engine off. Now I have 2 projects to get home and repair.

The "power bulge" on the hood makes me think a V6 or V8 was swapped in. But perhaps not.

They are pretty scarce here too.Found it on CL drove 223 miles each way to get it and bring it home.Bought it without seeing it in person to get them to hold it until I could get there.A little rustier than I would have liked but couldn't pass it up.All there except the cargo cover.Thinking of swapping all the SE stuff over to my 96,000 mile rust free Florida car.Same color and everything.
