  • 15" Tires on a Festiva...

I just bought a Festiva that has 15" tires. Is that really possible without rubbing? I think it said it had Mazda rims, not sure.

Depends on the sidewall size, and width/ratio.

Thin enough 15" tires can be almost the same overall diameter as 12" or 13" tires if you use lower profile tires, but the thinner your tires the more the suspension has to work, and you are going to have a rougher ride, and you risk breaking or bending your rims with low profile tires since there is not as much tire to absorb the shock to the wheel.

You will mostly get rubbing from wider tires, or rims without the proper offset.

I had a 195/45-15 tire on 6.5" +38 wheels with all OEM replacement suspension on one of my Festies a while back. It only rubbed minimally on the most severe dips in the road. A 6" rim would be perfect.
