i been flogging its ford twin, an escort LX E for about 3 years. the 1.8 has proven indestructible and troublefree. these cars are sleepers. even with an ATX i've smoked a lot of unsuspecting type A drivers. actually more comfortable and better sized than a festiva. i'd give away 2 Turdcells for an LTS or LX-E with a 5 spd. -
I'll have to give it a good looking-over before I buy it. He mentioned that he drives cars hard, and uses ATF for the manual tranny--which calls for API GL-5 75W80! Wouldn't be surprised if I find a bunch of other issues too. He said he's put a lot of money into it but it could still end up being a money pit for me too. Yeah, but I don't really need it. I am a good snow driver, have four brand-new snows mounted on Aspire steelies, and can just opt to not drive on the worst days (get groceries and DVDs the day before).
