A lot would have to be in place to make any of it possible. The simplest would be "Driverless Only" access to some segments at a time, since a "SELFDRIVE" car would have no information about non selfdrive vehicles on the road.
The infrastructure couldn't happen all at once, it would need special roads, or to have existing ones significantly modified. What would we end up with in the long run? Would non selfdrive cars be allowed to drive on selfdrive roads at all?
It's a completely new extension of mass transit isn't it? It's like buying a tiny subway car that comes to your house and is for you only. But with free-roaming options...
And an onboard GPS in half of it's systems that makes it possible for other people to FIND YOU (or at least your car) no matter where you go. That part bugs me.Last edited by Greywolf; 03-19-2018, 03:50 PM.Most people don't drive what they want at all, and never will
