  • BP swap temperature sensor elaoration

So, im actually pretty close to being done with my swap, and now i'm interested if anyone could elaborate further or give me a picture of this temperature sensor stuff mentioned in the bp swap guide.

    "Misc
The 2 temp sensors on the water neck are different. I just switched temperature sensors so that I could use the Festiva plugs. "

I guess thats a little vague for me. anyone have pictures of either or all of the components mentioned?

The Festiva thermostat housing can and should be used if possible. The escort had a round plug vs the flat blade of Festiva

Not sure about the BP but there are 3 devices on the B3 that are measuring/sensing engine temp.

        1. One in the thermostat housing (I think this one is the switch that turns on the cooling fan. Don't hold me to this. I know there was a heated discussion recently about this on this forum).
        2. One in the front of the head beside the thermostat housing.
        3. One in the intake on the passengers side that measures coolant temp. (CTS)

I JUST NOTICED I SPELLED ELABORATION WRONG..... :tearyeyed:

Ok, I put the festiva housing on the BP and im left with this:

Store your photos and videos online with secure storage from Photobucket. Available on iOS, Android and desktop. Securely backup your memories and sign up today!

are all those acceptable? or do I have to change something else?

OR am i misreading the guide and it is mean to say 'The 2 temp sensors on the respective water necks are different. I just switched temperature sensor from the b3 to the BP so that I could use the Festiva plug.'

          please confirm, thanks
