What are you looking for exactly when it comes to G-series swaps? Are you looking for the basics or a complete how to?

Looking for info corresponding to BP motors. Basically was just looking for general information on the swap, like what I need, general way of mounting, any wiring components, stuff like that. I dont have a G series yet, but Id like to study up on it before I make a decision. And with the battery, I am really asking if there are any tips to doing it other than unwrapping the harness and moving stuff backwary. or just running so low gauge wire back into the car and connecting the battery that way.

For battery relocation, I just ran a low gauge wire to the back of the vehicle and grounded the battery to the frame in the back. I connected the positive wire to the old positive wire that ran to the battery in the stock location. Its all tucked away now though since I did a wire tuck at the same time.

There is no wiring to worry about with the G series swap that I remember. I think all the plugs work in the stock festiva harness. Mounts, axles and the shifter are the only concerns.

also know that there are hydraulic and cable operated G series transmissions, the hydro one is a little more involved to swap.

heres a little primer for ya.
