Is there a tach cluster swap guide?

When I changed mine, it was relatively easy just took the old one out and put in the one with a tach. The only obstacle I had was rerunning the speedometer cable. Because the speedo is off center and that 1 inch to the right makes a big difference when the cable isn't long enough HA

So are there plugs or do I have to just color match the wires?

Use the existing plugs, just move the speedo cable as described above. Plugs are the same on both tach and nontach clusters.

There are two bracket shaped things that your cable goes through into the cluster, you have to move it around that in order for it to fit firmly into the back

Make sure to unscrew the cable from the transmission. It will give enough slack in the cable to let you pull the cluster out of the dash.

i'd like to see the steps to convert a US tach/speedo to the UK 110MPH speedo.

Keep searching, I found it when I swapped my tach cluster. I'd unscrew the speedo cable from the transmission first, then unscrew cluster then pull out. It is easy, I'd oil the speedo cable since it's out. I pulled out the speedo cable & hung it to a shelf & lubricated with 3 & 1 oil & kept it out overnight so it could work it's way down the cable. Also don't kink speedo cable at all or it will kill the cable

2 options on that:

1. Swap the circuit board from a white face tach cluster on to the back of the 110 mph cluster

2. Re pin the plugs in the car as discussed in the following links (unfortunately most of the pics are broken due to age):

thanks. i did find the swap posts from GTX. bummer no pics. i want the UK cluster indicator lights to all work. guess i'll just read a 1000 words for every missing pic.
