My aunts 86 Ford Thunderbird was stolen out of the church parking lot while warming up. It was found 2 weeks later. It was undamaged but they stole everything ACCEPT her bible! Which she would have wanted them to take!

I gotta say.. there are better ways of committing insurance fraud than taking out a store down the street. Can't believe he even suspected you for it.

I'm in the same boat. Called insurance company and they said both the car and contents are NOT covered except in the case of an accident. Sigh. Lost half my tools and a nice new set of jumper cables someone gave me. No idea what I'll be driving back and forth to work; the white car I gave to my mom so she'd have transportation. The Sprint hit the point of rust I had to park it 2 months back.

Luckily the job I have has me out of town for a week each time, so I can just be dropped off and picked up at the end of the week for the time being. Give me some time to figure something out. Though 2 or so weeks from now I'll be back to driving to Indy and back. Maybe a lease or buy-here pay-here, though I have no credit.

Too bad they didn't take it, maybe they'd have learned something.

I want to send out a very personal thank you to Charlie1717 for selling me his '93 5-speed. Great little car. I'll start up a thread on it today after tires are installed and I give her a tune-up.
              God bless you, Charlie.

Other than that, no word on the automatic.

A fellow FF.com member sent me a PM about a car they saw, asking if it was mine. Realized I wasn't smart enough to put pictures up... so here we are. The car currently rides on black Mazda 323 steelies, without trim rings or center caps.
                    VIN ends in "6142394"

And again, thank you all for your help.

                    Joe

That is what makes this place so great. I've only been here a short time and everyone seems to band together when something happens. From the little part question, to a car being stolen, you guys are always there for one another.

Hey Spike, great to see you got it back! Did the "temporary owner" ;-) install the 323 wheels for you?

No worries, just keeping it out there. Finally got police to put out an actual BOLO.
