  • heat, real heat!!

No more freezing going to work.
    I will now have heat.
Ok so my festiva isn't that bad. But its getting crazy rusty.
So this will give me something to dd while I finish my replacement festiva.
Here it is in all its glory.

    New tires
    Dertec
And yes that's right 75,000 miles.
    All for 700.
    Has leather too!
Drove fine the 3 miles home shifts like butter, I was kinda worried here if you know Taurus transmissions.
I haven't crawled under it to see what trans it has but ill up date this as I fix it up.

Door and fender are bolt on. Just do it.

I changed both doors, fenders, hood and hatch on my Festiva.
All parts were acquired over an extended period of time.
All parts were painted prior to installation.
The color isn't a perfect match, but I don't care.
They still look great without any rust.

It is a Ford (not made in Korea) so it should blast you out with the heat!!

Looks like a nice score, and i'm sure you will have that damage straightened out in no time

'98 or '99 Taurus with the Duratec. Nice car if you can get past the styling. I still miss my '97 Taurus wagon. Looks clean aside form the damage. Lucky for you, junkyards are full of those things.

^ its a 99 and there's over 60 Taurus in the jy that will work
So I should have color match parts.
I did do a little prying to make to make the door open and shut.
Also the window now roles down now, and the finder doesn't rub anymore

                william,
I meant to ask you if your Festiva has A/C, or not?
Without A/C, it is possible small leaf debris can enter the blower and block the heater core fins. This is because the Festiva does not have a cabin air filter.

If you have A/C, then your evaporator core fins could be plugged up with over twenty years of debris.

Didn't have ac I added it I did pull the dash and clean everything but with the rust holes in it. It just couldn't keep up.
My replacement car should be great cleaned and sealed everything up and the cooling system was nice and clean.
Im insulating everything I can .. It should be great.

Is there a way to clean the heater core without removing the dash? I'm imagining removing the AC condenser delete duct and getting in there with a vacuum hose.

Almost impossible. Even after you remove the blower motor, you have to go up and then down past a damper. I would not recommend drilling a hole through the blower housing just above the heater core. ff.com should do a group buy for a fiber optic inspection camera (borescope snake) and mail it from one member to another.
