  • Focus RS coming to America...

Hot hatches are a staple of European car culture, something Americans typically don't get. It's why Ford hasn't offered its brilliant Focus RS on these shores for many years, despite true enthusiasts clamoring for it. A niche product it is, and yet Ford has finally confirmed that we will soon see the new RS in U.S. dealerships, and today, that car has been revealed: Boasting "well in excess" of 320 hp and 320 lb.-ft. of torque, that bountiful amount of power is routed to each and every wheel.

It has been known for a while that the new RS was coming to the states. I cant wait to see one in person. It looks like it will be a quick car.

I wish they would send over 2 door hatchbacks. That's all I want. This era of 4 door compact cars is getting old.
Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

i 2nd that. being a punk in the 70s, even though some 4 door and station wagon sleepers could be had with the right equipment packages, almost all muscle, sport and personal luxury cars were 2 door. i passed on the SRT-4, the EVO, the subaru. if the RS came as a 2 door i think i'd bail on my festivas and parts and liquidate for a down payment.

While I prefer my Mk6 Golf in its 4-door form, I always liked the Fiesta and Focus 2-door more.
