  • Parting out '88 Festiva L

I am parting out my '88 festiva L 5 speed. It rusted out where the back axle on the passenger side bolts to the frame. So not going to go through the trouble of trying to get that fixed when it's just a spare/parts car. Just tell me what you need from it and I'll let you know if it's still available. Inbox me for prices and shipping and all that good stuff.

Excuse the snow in the pics. Didn't think it would come this far south but it did!

Here is pics of where it rusted out

Here is the rest of the car

Wow I'm glad that hasn't happened to mine I quit driving it because of that same issue.
So how was the ride when she let lose?

I was backing up out of the driveway and felt it break loose so I put it back in park and left her in the driveway. So it wasn't too bad when it happened.

Crazy that a southern car rusted out back there like that.

I did this when I saw that pic!

Maybe it was a northern car in its previous life.

Maybe not even though they don't get much snow so no salt those rear mount spots are pretty much just packed together sheet metal . Witch is very strong, problem is if there's any amount of moisture even down to humidity. Rust forms between the sheets and rust out. The desert is about the only rust free place. I mean look at them quarters they look "rust free" from the out side but the quarters can air out somewhat.
So oil coat ,oil coat, oil coat!!! Lol
