I run a slim fleebay fan on a fleebay civic rad with a 2.0 in my Escort wagon, and it does just fine. And that engine was leaking comp into the water through a cracked block. Never overheated once.

The shroud and stock fan might be technically better, but in the real world I haven't seen any negs from ditching one. Just my opinion.
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.
