  • How much paint will it take?

Considering a color change on the Festiva and was wondering how much paint it would take. Would probably be doing the engine compartment as well as door jambs etc. Not looking at a show quality finish but for a reasonable daily driver type job.

    Thanks

When I painted my Festiva, it took less than a 1/2 a gallon, but I didn't paint the jambs or the engine compartment.

Did mine with 3 quarts of silver acrylic urethane. But I didn't do the engine bay. Depending on your paint coverage a gallon should get it done.

I used 3 cans of Rustoleum but did not paint the roof.

You're looking at 1/2 gallon minimum for good coverage. Are you going darker or lighter than the original color? That can make a difference too.
