  • Can i change balljoints myself?

I have a 91 festiva. The ball joints are badly needing to be replaced. I know that the control arm and balljoint are one. What is the measure of difficulty of changing these myself? What tools will i need?

    THanks!

Its a relatively easy process to change them. As long as you have a good set of metric sockets. A good sturdy breaker bar or impact wrench. Alot of good penetrating oil. You should be fine. I would get yourself a copy of the repair manual to use as a guide before you jump in and try it

make sure you use a 6 point socket and not a 12 point... I learned that the hard way and stripped the head off the bolt
      No festiva for me ATM...
