How hot is my BP supposed to run?

So on the drive around tonight, the temperature gauge didn't move at all. I just bought a new sender from rock auto. Where should the gauge be reading, Im on a white tached cluster. I assume shouldnt it hover around the middle of the gauge?

Depends, when it's cool out mine won't leave cold, hot with the ac it's about half

Good to know, the engine didn't blow up yet so I figure it's fine.

Every once in awhile I like to let mine sit and run long enough to make sure the fan comes on. I also have a 180 degree thermostat in mine
