  • Civic Radiator?

Ok, trying to get skeeter back on the road...
has anyone tried using a civic radiator? its half the cost of a stiva one on ebay... the dimensions are real similar, and i *think* the hoses would still work...

this is what i'm looking at:
    stiva:
    festiva radiator

    civic:
    civic radiator

i'd rather have new than a JY one, specially since the only u-pull it in the area that i know of is not very fairly priced..

    thanks,
    ~Nate

Not worth the effort. You'll need all new/custom/special hoses. Then you'll need to mount the fan. Make radiator mounts. Just get another festiva radiator.

      Here's one on ebay

      BP Festiva http://www.cardomain.com/ride/723319 - SOLD
      BPT Festiva www.cardomain.com/ride/2260009 - SOLD
      BPT GTX www.cardomain.com/ride/2436495 - SOLD

        iight, thanks matt

i knew you put a civic rad in your BPT car and it took some major mods but i thought maybe that was only b/c of the BPT...

looks like i'll be getting a stiva rad!

        thanks,

          Flexy universal hose won't do?

Rad outlets different size, or position all wrong?

            hoses

that's what I used , the flex lines, still a pain in the butt. If I did it over again, I'd source a festy automatic radiator, they go right in.

I edited your original post that way I didn't have to scroll every time I read some one's post.

I was at the yard today... aparently the 88-89 rads are different? i never noticed this b4. they also had a 92 w/ ATX, but they wanted $50 for it and i couldn't be sure how good of condition it was in...
So i have a few options:
                  1. A new Rad from AZ/Advanced/Napa seems to run 150-200...
                  2. or i can get a new one on ebay for $105-115
                  3. i can try to get this one ( http://tinylink.com/?873Ip63SX7 ) on ebay for $20 (it says its a steering wheel??), but that doesn't look quite like mine?
                  4. i can try to get that one from canada that matt posted about for $40.

i'm slightly wary of buying a used Rad... not sure. what's ya'lls advice?

BTW, thanks noname... i'll use tinylink or tinyurl.com from now on...
