How to clean steering wheel?

Going to have the steering wheel off and want to give it a good cleaning.

Seems that the dirt from my hands builds up on the surface. You can scrape it off the wheel. Its so thick.

Would like to soak it.

How do you guys clean the steering wheel?

I used Dawn dish soap and a plastic pot scrubber pad. Made a world of difference!

I just put on a nice leather wrapped Momo steering wheel and threw the factory steering wheel in the garbage.
It's not worth the bother or the soap.

I used a Magic Eraser on mine. Seemed to work great.

Micro fiber and lemon pledge, yeah, I know, but it takes the black grime off without damaging the plastic.

Ended up soaking it in a bucket of water. Then using a wash cloth get the crude off.
