i was driving down the road and saw a white festiva L behind a barn, so i stopped and asked about it and the owner wanted to get rid of it, and its a fuel injected 5 speed with grey interior just like what i was looking for! it ran fine and got 42 mpg when it was parked, but its been sitting for a few years so im sure it will need brakes. but it gets better! infront of the festiva was a burgendy 5 speed aspire, and he said i can have them both for 100 bucks. the aspire will donate its brakes/wheels/tires to the B6T car me and my buddy are building, the aspire has a bad trans but he said it drives fine other than that. the festy will need some body work but its not all that bad. and the B6T project car had brand new festiva tires that i can use on my L now that its getting aspire wheels. now i need to locate a nice set of 88-89 power mirrors and a tach I.P.

i found 2 other cars in south east michigan that cost 300 each, im going to pass on them now, but if anyone else is interested ill tell you wher to go.
- one is a auto with AC and a factory tach, grey interior, decent body, the other car is kind of a POS, and its a carbed 4 speed with brown interior.AIM= bobbo216

Hmmmm....
I know I might be the only one with this opinion....But drive an aspire for awhile, (A/C, actual door panels, better breaks, Car was built elsewhere a lot longer and has parts all over the world, etc....) before you decide to distribute it's parts. The Aspire Wheels WILL NOT fit on the Festiva stock. the Festiva is 4X114.3 and the Aspire is the much more common 4X100 lug pattern. I have owned 3 Festivas and currently own two aspires, and I know the appeal of the Festiva is great, but do a 500 mile plus trip in both, and I think you will have a different opinion of the Aspire. Either way sounds like you got one hell of a find! JUST MY $0.02

thers the aspire, it started right up and drives perfectly, but 4th and 5th gear dont work, its going to the scrap yard after we pull the brakes so if anyone wants anything let me know.
im going back for the festiva in a couple hours, it will need to be trailored because the brakes dont work on it.AIM= bobbo216
