  • bad day at the JY

well i went to the jy today looking for a new transmission for my build and i found a mercury capri with the b6t in it i had all kinds of plans going through my mind for it and the jy only wanted $150 for the motor, so my and my dad went back to the car and started checking over the motor the first thing that threw up red flags is that the timing belt was off(strike one) but i didnt think much of it, it was a junk yard after all some one could of taken if of for some odd reason next i stuck my finger in the turbo to feel the rotor and the turbo was crapped out(strike two)well before we even attempted to pull the motor we thought it it would be a good idea to pull the valve cover to check the cams and suck well this is what we found

the first cam cap we took off looked damn near perfect so i was high hopes for getting a decent motor but i went down hill fast from there(strike three and im out of there lol)

the intake cam and head was completely destroyed and who knows what the bottom end looks like oh well no b6t for me

A bad day at the JY is still better than a good day at work.
