  • really expensive festiva on autotrader THE GOOD & BAD

Editorial Research and compare new, used and certified cars.

See i can use the new system

Anywho I went to go check this one out.

    I "might" nit-pick a little

these are my own judgments so....

    THE GOOD
Spoiler, hood scoop, 5speed, stock replacement engine, aspire seats (IDEA), says "festiva SVT" on back (I liked it), nice blue paint, koeing rims & new tires, 3 gauges where stock radio was, 2 pioneer cd decks, had a huge system box in back (looked like shogun in the rear), has inside A/C components, no back seat, power mirrors, eBay early grill modded, has a spare

    THE BAD
Dash VIN tag missing, Illinois state police tag in drivers door jam, painted interior, black dyed door panels & headliner, missing sun visors, new exhaust minus the muffler, removed supports for hood to install hood scoop, no windshield washer sprayer thingy (yeah I said it), silver vinal stripe hit, over-spray, very noisy inside cabin cause lots of firewall rubber grommets missing, switch's whose use are unknown, I figured out 1 of them were a fan ON/OFF, wasn't pricing lower than $2785 said that was what they paid for it when it was traded in, seemed low on power like it wasn't tuned right, most of the system removed, silly looking white-face non-tach speedo overlays in KM, showing 150k KM or MILES DONT KNOW????, missing compressor & lines for A/C, 3 good pits in the windshield, different key for the doors/ignition, chopped short shifter, I think they cut the springs (fender rubbed tire pretty good a few times, ebrake not working, leaked a little coolant from the thermostat/upper radiator hose/heater core area, seats wouldn't go all the way back (matters for my 6' 5" a$$), power mirrors not hooked up just installed, 1 cd deck mounted in box in back, funky wires everywhere under the hood (assuming from the system install), ebay early grill was cracked, painted calipers

cant think of any thing else right now maybe later, little tired from 750 miles yesterday & today.

glad somebody finally got a look at it  bet you were disappointed huh?
sounds like more bad than good to it. i did a carfax on it and it did say it flucked the emissions in Il. wonder about that state police sticker though.

keep in mind, when i called they still claimed the book on the car to be $4990, and thats when they wanted 3900 for it. so i doubt they would pay 2750 for a car that age. that doesnt seem logical of a used car dealer does it. not for that age car and what the real book is on them. the car fax listed the miles at about 150k. so they wont come down in price and the a/c doesnt even work.

did you go all that way to look at that car? nice pics. i do like the hood scoop though. best part of the car it looks like.

yeah I know but its in KPH. I think the car was a Canadian model except that the seat belts where the stupid automatic kind, but all the tags on the car minus the Il state poilce one are in french & english so......

        I dunno

The Illinois state police tag had the same VIN as the firewall so I think it was put there because the one on the dash was missing

The guy I talked to "Bill" showed a paper saying how much they paid for it. The "red tag sale" price said $3250 down from $4950, while the autotrader says $2990. At these prices they are never going to sell it.

Its a good 10ft car. Looks good until 10 ft when you see all the imperfections.

A bit of a hike down there 750 miles round trip (with JY expeditions) but atleast I had family like 20 min from there where I spent the night.
