Windshield got broken

So yesterday i drove an hour to the local wrecker-pick and pull edmonton- because it had a festiva that had only been there a couple days. Spent 4 hours or so there getting parts from it and other cars and when i came out my windshield was broken. I parked facing the fence and it looks like someone probably threw a part over the fence to steal it and it hit my windshield. Made me pretty mad... Stupid morons. Im trying to save money and now i need a $300 windshield....
On a side note the festiva had only been there 3 days and was pretty stripped. Must be a few festiva owners in the area :p just while i was working on it 2 other guys came by it looking for tires just like i was! Lol.
I picked up some lap belts from an arostar van so i can put carseats in the back. Just need to figure out how to make my muffler quieter without replacing it. My wife thinks its too loud to have kids in there... :/ i have a 2 inch cherry bomb glasspack that sounds nice on it. I still have the stock muffler and need to think of some way to make the exhaust run through it while the kids are in the car but have it removable for when they arent. Lol, any ideas?

JY windshield = $50. They should pull it for you. You can get it installed for ~$100, or do it yourself since you don't have to worry about breaking your old one when you remove it. I'm sure some peeps here can give you good advice on this.

I got my last windshield replacements (qty price for 3, installed) for $450 --- $150 each -- near Seattle, where everything is expensive these days.

Wow, thats cheap! But i thought everything was expensive in alaska?...
Anyway, i could phone a wrecker and see if they have any. I have glued in plenty of side windows so i know how to do it but i would still rather pay someone to do a windshield. Also i paid $300 for this windshield 5 or 6 years ago and it was really good, could handle being hit by small pebbles without chipping and when it did chip it didnt crack all over. I got a new windshield put on my civic in november for $200 and it was finished within 6 months. I drive only pavement with it but The teeniest tiniest little specks of sand basically would chip it and it cracked like mad from every chip. Thats not worth paying any money for.
I had to replace it because a lug nut or bolt came off a semi that was going down the freeway the other direction and hit the windshield right in front of my face and covered me in glass... I almost wish i had left that glass in but it was right in the way, woulda hit me in the nose if the windshield wasnt there. So glad i wasnt on a motorbike or something.

If you have a Novus glass in your area, check with them.
I can get just the windshield locally for about 95.00 new.

Yes, they installed one in my 90L a few years ago. No problems with it.
Their office is about 3 miles from my home.
