  • How many miles does your Festiva (Fastiva) have?

I bought mine $2k, in very good condition at 88k miles. No rust, it came from Indiana. I finished it off with undercoating the wheel wells and bottom of the car. Painted the trim and the rims. From what I can tell, they last a very long time. My parent's had a '93 that was at 265k miles, had to get rid of it though, the harsh Michigan weather rusted out the bottom so severely that the engine was ready to literally fall. and the frame was giving out. With that many miles, it didn't burn any oil, ran like a champ. Reliability seems to be extremely high. Anyway, how many miles does your Festiva have and how long do they generally last with good maintenance? I'm so obsessed with these little cars! htd

I'm 6'3 by the way, I fit just fine in this car. I wouldn't fit in a Geo metro (no offense)

That is a nice looking Festy! My 90 has 220k at the moment but has few minor issues. I've got the Festy addiction as well and am loving every minute of it!

Just as I'd figure. I think these cars will easily make it to 350k. Gas mileage is great! I love being able to go 40 miles one way and see the gas meter not move. I was considering getting a Ford Aerostar as well, because the Festiva has a few traits to the van. With the right engine size, they get 27/28 highway. That's excellent for a van. Thanks for the compliment

My '91 has 76,000 something on the odometer- haven't put two miles on it since I bought it a year ago- it's my backup and I can't afford to keep more than one on the road.

Still just sorting it out a bit, and that's been slow.....

My 92 is around 200 - 220. (I drove it for about a year without the speedo working.) I expect it to keep it going for quite a while. It's my backup car these days so I'm not putting on a lot of mileage.

You drove 20,000 miles with no speedometer? Lol, why? Its easy to fix generally.
