  • Putting a 91 Engine for a MT in a 93 with AT.

Help me if you can. Any issues switching a 91 engine for a MT Festiva into a 93 AT model? For example, do I need a new computer or other things?

    Thanks

Computers are the same.Starter and wiring harness flywheel ,fly wheel cover need to be for an auto, and the auto has a round metal peice in the center or behind the fly wheel.

So autos don't have different computers than manuals? That's surprising.

You got me pondering. For his motor swap he is fine.I have swapped from auto trans to manual without swapping computer but perhaps going from a manual trans to auto you might have to change the computer idk.

I believe the auto needs the three plug ECU not the two plug for standard tranny!!!

^ but is it possible to switch an auto to a manual without messing with the wiring/computer too much
