Automatic ac throttle body injection. 207k runs but need tune so what do I need to know about this set up?

35 mpg
in town car
55 mph about as fast as you want to go. no overdrive
p155/80/r13 tires will load up the engine a little better at 55 mph -
Do u know if the automatics always have a high rev? Or rare ?

they have a high rev. No overdrive. Thats why autos are mostly a around town car. The larger tires also help with the revs. But it will still get better gas mileage than that Dodge.Comment

I have 2 autos, one with stock 12s and one with 13s and enjoy driving them both. As everyone else said, they are 55 mph and below cars, primarily,although they will go much faster. I am not a huge proponent of going with larger tires but my festiva with 15" is great at high speeds on the freeway.75-80 doesnt make the motor work hard.Comment

A well tuned EFI engine does not require gas pedal to be pumped during startup.

It starts runs a little the starts to die I hit gas and struggles to get regular idle. Fuel pressure regulator? maybe dirty fuel filter?I cant wait for my day off to tinker.

Do the basics when you have time. Replace fuel filter and sock on fuel pump. Make sure fuel in tank is new. Replace air filter and check free movement of vane in air meter. Replace plugs, rotor and wires if old. With plugs out, check compression on each cylinder. What color are the electrodes on the plugs? If engine oil is black, change it with a high mileage oil and use a good quality oil filter. Report back when done.

Pretty sure it is Tbi. Not efi or carby. I got a carby 88. Damn I need a ford manual it helps some times.
