  • Plz help identify parts

I bought an old home-made car hauler and I'm trying to identify the parts used. The drum looks very similar to ford festiva drums, but I haven't been able to find an exact match on google. Same goes for the backing plate. Also, it uses 12mm lug bolts.

Could someone verify if this is indeed from a festiva or aspire?

4.186" = 106.3mm, so it's looking like maybe a German hub. Some of the VWs used lug bolts too, and your measurement might be a little off--i.e. it's really 108mm, a European size (see the 4-hole wheel list). If it was Festiva, it would be 4.5". What is the thread pitch, i.e. 12mm x what?

Bingo! That bearing seal was only used in 1978-80 Ford Fiestas, which were German-made. Rock Auto sells 'em, and that's how I got the info, by doing a search there.

Rock Auto has the bearings. Just order any brand of rear inner and rear outer for a 1978-80 Fiesta. They are very common.
EDIT: They are, in fact, the same ones used in Festivas! Get the Timken SET1 and SET4.

Yea I did find that the old fiesta used that seal, but autozone says that the aspire uses the bearing and doesn't list anything for the aspire seal. And I really hope that it's not the old escort, I'll never find that in the junk yard.

You use the Festiva/Aspire bearings with the Fiesta seal. Festivas and Aspires use a different seal. Escort has nothing to do with it; not sure why you mentioned it

Oops, sorry I meant the old fiesta. I guess when I think old European Ford I automatically think escort.

Once I saw the seal info, I recognized the wheel too.
