  • Escort gt motor swap???

    I have an 89 carb festy that the rings are shot in and idk what to do. Will a escort gt motor bolt in a all stock festy ?? Need serious help

    Yes but your carb car is gunna be more challenging you need to go efi . Or make a manifold and carb the bp.
    Unless you already have the bp I say get a first gen b6 and use the festiva intake . Or get another b3.

      What all would I need out of a efi festy to put it in mine I know of one at a pick n pull

        I think you would probably need the entire wiring harness, fuel tank, lines and pump to start with. Not sure on what else though.

                B3 is the stock engine. He's saying the simplest thing is just swap in another stock engine.

                Being carbed hurts swapability immensely.

                You posted this a while ago.

                Have you swapped to an Escort carb yet? If yes, any other swap you want is just a custom or modded manifold and a rejet/tune away. If not, you're in for a bigger job if you want to swap to EFI too.

                  No I haven't swapped carbs because before I found the forum I bought a rock auto carb for 315 and just got it runni g right

                          There is a bp with bike carbs on it somewhere.
