Broken inner tie rod

Hi everyone well here is my question i hit a very large pothole and it appears that i have broke my inner tie rod passenger side, so do i try to fix the original, swap the part from my parts car, it has 248k on it not sure how good of shape the steering rack is in, or maybe try and find a new one (haha). Read some poats on this just not sure which direction i should go with this, thanks for everyones help in advance.

Just replace the inner tie rod . But the 88 89 are different then the 90 to 93.
I run an 89 rack in my 91 and I get mine from rock auto.
The auto parts stores will give you the later ones and the threads are different on the rack side.
If your unsure if you have the original rack if it's steal it's the 88 89

You can swap entire racks and it will work but in my experience the early rack bushings last much longer than the later ones that why my 90 and 91 both have 89 racks.

If it were mine I'd replace all my Tie Rods & My LCA's. But thats just me

Well further investigation reveals that the plastic bushing in the end of the rack has crumbled, anybody have a suggestion, ahould i just change out the rack or is that part available somewhere?

I don't think there are bushings available but the festiva store can hook you up for an awesome price . Best price around on rebuilt racks.
