  • rear hatch wiper

anyone done a rear wiper install into a non wiper hatch? If so how difficult. is wiring already in place? thanx.

Wiring is already in place but there a re a couple of challenges. First is drilling the holes in the correct spot. It would help to have access to a hatch with wiper to measure off. The second is getting the hose up the c-pillar, across the top of the hatch opening and hooked up to the nozzle.

I did this on my project car. Just take your time and don't get frustrated!

I haven't done the hole drilling part, but send the kids into the house for that "hose routing" part.

I snaked a coat hanger up the right rear "C" piller, attached the hose to it with duct tape, and pulled it down. Easy.

Of course, if he just wants a wiper, he doesn't have to do all the washer-related work.

Hi grampahawg, I've got a couple of wiper hatches in Mount Airy if you're interested. Will save a lot of work. Also have a wiper drive and arm.

I waited to do my wiper install until I found a wiper hatch that also had spoiler holes.
