  • clear corner light source ....maybe

What would you guys be willing to pay for a set of clear corner lights? If some one was to tool up to make a limited run of lens and install them in existing housings what would the average person be willing to pay for them? Were not talking 121 or pride stuff that doesn't fit but real Festiva lights converted to clear lens?

Are we talking about real clear corners? Not just the white blurry ones? Then I'm in for $20 if that person can take paypal.

$20 is really cheap, FMS used to get over $100 for a pair!

FMS is also a monopoly :-) good people, good products, but when a deal comes along, people usually take the deal.

I don't disagree with that, I just said $20 is cheap. I would take a set for that!

Okay it seems there is enough interest to proceed. I will be taking a set of lens over to see if molds can be made from them.

With the festiva lens they are glued to the back half so I had to sacrifice a set to get a set of lens.

What this means is that you will have to remove (destroy) the amber lens in a set of turn singles and glue a new set of clear one in their place.

The other bad part is the factory lens has a DOT certification approval mark. I don't think the new CLEAR lens will be DOT legal, even with amber bulbs so these pieces will have to be regarded as "SHOW" parts and not intended for street use ( covering my ass).

I will know by next week if this is a go.

You should see if this could be done with taillights too! Clear taillights would be cool too!
