4 and 5 speed rebuilds

Hello all,

I recently had a friend rebuild my 91 5-speed as the input shaft bearing was going, and he mentioned that he loves doing these little transmissions and would offer his services to this group. He charges 500$ per rebuild for new seals, bearings and synchros. Any extra parts would obviously be more (stripped gears, etc) we are located in the greater seattle area but I'm sure shipping would be doable. Pm me for more info.

He is a bit technologically challenged. Still uses a flip phone and doesn't have home internet. Killer with mechanical stuff though, grew up with the guy.

The idea behind pm'ing me is so I can give those people who are interested his phone # without putting it up directly.

now this would be needed for all those Aspire 5 speeds that always seem to be grinding and popping out of gears plus it will give a chance to modify it and not put the 4.05 final gear in it and run it with the better 3.77 final gear (in my opinion)

OK, I got PM'd back by the OP with the coordinates of the guy who does the gearbox rebuilds.

One question I'm certainly going to ask is what he knows about the proper driveshaft clip to use so that aftermarket driveshafts can be easily removed!
