Budget is the key at the moment so will go budget steering wheel and boss kit first but will check out an rx7 one before hitting the pay now button!

Hmm I had seen that but I wasn't aware there was a 2nd generation Kia Pride? According to the internet (not searched this forum fully yet) the Kia pride ran from 1987 to 2000 then in 2005 there was a new model which was more like a saloon car?
Not sure which wheels you saw, because I am still running my stock steelies lol! Unless you meant my steering wheel. Or maybe the photoshopped picture I put up? Here is a gallery of my car as it sits for the most part: http://imgur.com/a/4MhCw

Different markets had different names for the 2nd gen pride, with many different variations. In the US, It was called the Aspire. Sometimes it is known as the Kia Avella. For the most part, 94+ frame/body parts aren't compatible with 88-93. You would have to double check though, it really does vary a lot by region.

They salt the roads here at the slightest hint of a frost.

Not necessarily a good idea. Hopefully someone with experience with Festiva lowering springs, or Charlie, will add their two cents.

Sorry English expression "Wheels" as in your whole ride! Looks good like the red over black and that exhaust is jokes - do you have a video of what it sounds like as I need to replace my back mufflers... Will do some further investing work on the suspension cheers for the PM link to Advanceddynamix!
