What kinda setup does everybody have for mounting their headunit? did you mount it in the stock location or elseware? I will soon have to run all new wires and I'm thinking if I should just put the new radio in the stock location or in a different location

why wouldn't you put it where it goes? if you run new wire you should go with heavier gauge wire so you can pump more power to better speakers1991 Beastiva L BP autoX'erComment

Headunit location (posted here for more hits)
I only will run 4" speakers and a 150 watt sub so 14 gauge wire will do also using the factory radio wires would be bad since it is in the way of my radio and the wires are now so short

No reason not to use the stock location then. I just did the same, focal 4" speakers, 400w head and an 8" bazooka tube, sounds great!1991 Beastiva L BP autoX'erComment

Yes stock location will be used for speakers but thinking of a some kind of modified center console and radio delete pocket
