  • Brake pads- semi-metallic or ceramic ?

    Which do you prefer?:director2:

    Is there any option on this direction for Festy besides oraganic? (I'm really considering this for another car)

    No need for ceramic, no want for it either, as it doesn't offer enough initial cold bite.
    Trees aren't kind to me...

    currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
    94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

      Charlie recommends organics I believe.

        In my experience the ceramic pads were very poor compared to organic for daily driving. I put organics back on. The online research i did also told me organics are better for daily driving. In theory ceramics and other more expensive pads are supposed to be better for racing, but some people find that they arent

          What about semi-metallic then? Don't they last longer?

            They do but they also wear your rotors much faster and are noisier.
