  • Any word on Getting Saipa 141 parts imported from Iran?

Haven't dug too deep, but I could have sworn I heard something about the ban on importing and exporting of goods from Iran was lifted or they were trying to get it lifted.

If this is so, I don't see why we couldn't get Saipa parts for our Festys. I saw the instrument cluster out of Saipa 141, and would love to get one wired into my Festy for a reasonable price. lol4

EDIT: And of course, me being a dummy I didn't realize it was ONLY in Kph. :p

There are quite a few of us here in Canada... and I don't believe any similar trade restrictions apply to the true north strong and free. Could you provide a link to where you found this, Torque?

As for the KPH, I wouldn't let that deter you. You could either print out a new overlay with MPH, or use mental math. Every border crossing between Canada and the USA these days provides a few key ratios between metric and imperial measurements:

    20MPH ~= 30KPH
    30MPH ~= 50KPH
    50MPH ~= 80KPH
    60MPH ~= 100KPH

Those four alone should suffice, or you could always opt to use a smart-phone to ensure you're on point in MPH with local speed laws. It's a useful idea when you have alternately-sized tire diameters too.

Interestingly enough they import the Saipa Turpial a four door sedan version of our cars to South America, mainly Venezuela...might be an easier source for parts than Iran

        I guess that is true.

Also my source was google. After I watched a couple of youtube videos and I saw one of these clusters in a Saipa that someone did a BP swap in.
