exhaust,, sound for effect/ affect

so my downpipe flange is broke , and will require a little welding , any advice while i'm at the exhaust guy for a little more rumble??
I have a stainless steel 2.5' after market exhaust on a ditched and dead focus, but i'm thinking that will be over kill for my B3 ??

and would the SS 2.5 be any benefit on a B6T swap?

The B3 and B6 have 1.25" in and 1.25" out head ports.
I have my collectors take them down to 2" O.D. exhaust, all the way out the back.
That is what was recommended by various internet postings.

I had a 3" straight pipe on a b3 aspire header to tail pipe had a deep brap sound sounded very aggressive for a 1.3 loved it so much
