Welcome to the forum!
The b3 engine has been turbocharged by several people on this forum. It's good for about 110hp or so before it let's go. These engines were built for economy, and the components inside them are not well suited for boost.
However, there are engines that bolt in to the Festiva with relative ease that do handle boost.
These cars are capable of some pretty amazing things with the right engine and suspension combination. I've lapped supercars on several race tracks with a turbo Festiva. It's a lot of fun.Last edited by Advancedynamix; 10-19-2016, 07:09 PM.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. With 334,000 Miles on it, your money and time would be better spent trying to find a different engine to swap in. There are many simple swaps that you can do that will easily get you anywhere from 80-130 HP. Explore some of our Forum Post's and read up on what engines will swap.Originally posted by toebro04 View Posthas anyone here put a turbo on the oem engine in a 1990 festiva i recently picked up one from a guy with 334000 miles on it and would lioke to know hat kind of stuff i can do with it."The White Turd" 1993 Festiva 144k miles. Yeah that b3 has some mileage on it I'd take these two's advice with a swap turbo charging an already worn engine is just asking for issues in my opinion b6d is as easy as it gets for engine swapping for any carOriginally posted by toebro04 View Posthas anyone here put a turbo on the oem engine in a 1990 festiva i recently picked up one from a guy with 334000 miles on it and would lioke to know hat kind of stuff i can do with it.
