I hear they are a little small but so is a festiva.

I am 6'1" and 280 and I fit in a Festy fine, but I am a bit cramped up in a Miata..

I'm 5'10 and 250 lbs and I can just squeeze into a miata. I fit fine in a festiva though. My father is 6'1 and heavier and he fits fine in the festiva too.

Go test drive one though, I've known some really big people that drive miatas just fine. They're great cars.

leg/head room is easily bigger in a festiva due to the height differences. obviously the festy also has much more lugguage space as well (you could increase the rear trunk room in a miata by mounting the spacesaver wheel underneathe the car which requires a new muffler system).

width, might be about the same actually from the exterior? but interior wise the miata is much more cosy (as it should be) & like a glove. probably I think cause the miata being a convertible requires more body reinforcement for safety & the interior trim is a bit thicker too.

miata would be longer due to it's engine being a rwd north/south setup

just give it a test drive, you might find yourself addicted & join the Miata.net side

keep in mind the steering wheel on miatas (except the new NC model) aren't height adjustable so if you have trouble clutching with your knee hitting the steering wheel then your a bit out of luck unless maybe it's an auto but cmon... an auto miata??

at 6'3" I will definitely say that I have a hard time driving my gfs miata... my knees are really close to the dashboard even with the seat all the way back. I've heard that the newer ones are bigger, but I don't know. They are just a little longer though. I have a picture somewhere of my festiva and her miata parked in one parking space though, so they are both small cars.

In fact, its not even cool enough to be a chick car. Of all the good Mazda has done, I am ashamed of the Miata. Buy it, pull the motor/tranny and push it into a lake.

zipping past our school van , 10 miles later we saw the same miata upside down and the meat wagon scrapping his dumbass off of the pavement

I love miata's they are my dream car, doesn't matter what year, except the brand new version.

I love how little they are, and rear wheel drive. It will be my next project car.
