  • Scored yet another clean rust-free LX with only 150K for $600

Bought this 6/87-manufactured 88 yesterday off CL SEA an hour ferry ride from downtown Seattle for only $600.

As is the norm, cars around here never rust (even though the atmosphere is semi-liquid 2/3 of the year and the ocean is nearby), and it lacks AC.

Also as usual, the parcel tray and luggage area covers are gone.

It has crappy 12" steel wheels -- didn't all LXs come with 13"ers? Also, it lacks the rear wiper, which I thought was standard on LXs (my other three LXs all have it). The interior is quite clean for 150K, with only a few minor upholstery stains. Just a few minor parts missing, such as a doorhandle, rear seat tilt pull-knob, etc.

Wrong, the GTX's and GT-A's had 13's...... but that's only overseas and rare to find lol

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Is it the vin# that tells you the date it was made... or is it stamped somewhere?

The manufacture date and other info is printed on sticker visible by opening the driver side door.

On the sticker on the LH door jamb, if it is still intact/not painted over.
