I have spent about a month on and off looking for the best battery for my festiva. Need one soon and i have one on hold that i should pick up at lunch, but its more money than i really want to spend on a battery... its the oddesy 34r-pc1500, $330 at a local store but they only have 1 left so i got them to hold it for me till today. http://www.odysseybattery.com/extrem...ery_specs.aspx
Its 1050 marine cranking amps, 1250 hot, 850 cold cranking amps, 135min reserve capacity, capacity of 68 ah for a 20hr drain and 62 for 10hrs. I havent found anything else thats close to that good. The optima spiral agm's are about the same price and have a lot of bad reviews, i cant really find much bad about these oddesy batteries. Im not installing it till next week so i can return it if anyone can tell me of something better or something cheaper thats almost as good.
This is for a long camping trip im planning with a trailer. Powered coolers, lights in the camping trailer, icemaker, airpumps for mattresses, cooled seats, laptop/phone chargers, toaster....Will have a 1500watt inverter connected to it, but not much for loads, the main thing is i want to be able to use stuff while the car is off and also if i am drawing some loads while the car is idling i need to have a decent amount of reserve in the battery so the inverter doesnt shut off from low voltage or have my car not start in the morning because we used the lights too much while the car was off at night or something.
So any suggestions? Thanks.
