I believe the answer you're looking for here is: no, don't do it, bad idea, not safe, not LEGAL... Etc.

I bolted some up once but wouldnt have been able to steer because the offset was wrong i believe. Anyway, never drove with them. Look into UTV tires. Off road but speed rated and can handle more weight.

Tires maybe, but wheels, definitely not.
And the tires would suck on the highway for sure.

Many quality UTV wheels are actually stronger and take more abuse than car wheels, but they are not well balanced a lot of the time and vibrate badly at highway speeds. It's been tried. Here in AZ, everything can be registered for the street, so we see UTV's driving around right in down town Phoenix, amongst the sky scrapers... Because old west! Lol. Anyway, the guys that put low profile car tires on their UTVs go with automotive wheels for a better ride on freeways. I'm sure the mega high dollar UTV wheels are better, but by then your just paying more than you would for car wheels anyway.

Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

I'm flying down to visit my brother's and family in Scottsdale AZ next weekend. Seeing some UTV's roaming the city streets would be cool! Like "Grand Theft Auto". I will be previewing Barrett-Jackson while I'm down there. Unfortunately, no Festiva's on the auction block.
