I don't think it has to be a foreign car. I have seen plenty of Focuses (foci?) and Cavaliers that could be called rice. Check out www.riceboypage.com
Currently Festiva-less. Please don't hate me

My definition would be anything that makes a car look like it's fast, but doesn't actually make it any faster. Stuff like wings, body kits, carbon fiber, and massive mufflers. Also, anything that is done to make a car look like it's from japan. RHD conversions, HID headlights, etc.

I quick definition would be senseless modifications that have no use, function or reason for being on a car. Like a big wing on a FWD car.. or 19" rims on a civic..

                        Love it!

Anyone who believes that an APC sticker actually will increase horsepower. Anyone who thinks that a civic doing 85 needs the wing to keep stable. Anyone who's pillar gauges actually are a clock, a compass, and a thermometer for inside the car....This we call rice.

No, those sound like useful mods, or actually improve the looks, or getting other useful things that didn't get to the States, like the filler
                          door popper.

Now if there was stick-on carbon fiber all over, or a coffeecan sized tailpipe on your ride, you'd be rice_Car1

Speaking of, I saw what I think was a Volkswagen station wagon of some kind (what is that, a Golf?) driving down the road yesterday. It was completely stock and jet black, except the front that had a new primer gray body kit that looked like the front of a freight train.

It's too bad my stock Festiva is probably faster. (ok, maybe not, but you get the idea)

This has made a lot of people very angry
and has been widely regarded as a bad move.
