  • Cleaning corroded electrical wires in minutes

Found a very nice write up on how to clean all kinds of corroded electrical wires, and thought I'd share it.

Going to have to do this with my battery cables as they are quite horrible. I'll probably do the same with the fuse block, like take it off the strut tower and then just soak the entire thing in a cup of the solution.

How to Perfectly Clean Wires in Minutes!!!: Here is an old ham radio operators trick for cleaning wires for soldering that are old and corroded.  It is hard to find this technique printed anywhere! I am a ham, NH7ZE, and learned it from my elmer (mentor). I am passing it on.  I hope…

Interesting. Let us know how well it works.
The battery you have- is it 'sealed' or does it have vent caps you can pop off? If it has caps be sure to wash the whole battery, top and sides. Pop the caps off and check the water level.
Then when its clean and back togeather buy dielectric grease and cat the terminals.
