Cant find it make it: the unicorn engine

Same as a zm. I figured they would be after I thought about it a little more.

I looked a little over lunch and the numbers I found for the ZM where more lift (w/ same duration) on the intake and less duration (w/ same lift) on the exhuast when compared to B6ze cams.

Could you post/link the numbers for us lazy people please?

The ZMDE cam specs that are thrown around on the Protege forums are below

Intake lift: 0.325"
Intake cam opens: 1* BTDC
Intake cam closes: 45* ABDC
Intake cam duration: 226*

Exhuast Lift: 0.310"
Exhaust cam opens: 52* BBDC
Exhaust cam closes: 1* ATDC
Exhaust cam duration: 233*

Valve overlap: 2*


For comparison the B6ZE specs

Intake lift: 0.309"
Intake cam opens: 5* BTDC
Intake cam closes: 51* ABDC
Intake cam duration: 236*

Exhuast Lift: 0.311"
Exhaust cam opens: 53* BBDC
Exhaust cam closes: 15* ATDC
Exhaust cam duration: 250*

Valve overlap: 20*

iirc all the dohc B6 exhaust cams are the same the only one that is different is intake cam on a automatic miata.
